The Flame of the West, the sword of Aragorn Elessar, reforged by the Elves of Rivendell from the Shards of Elendil's ancient sword Narsil.

The exact date of Andúril's forging isn't recorded, but all the indications are that it was reforged in the week before the setting out of the Fellowship on 25 December III 3018. The sword from which Andúril was forged, Narsil, was far more ancient than this, and was itself almost certainly made during the First Age - see the entry for 'Narsil' for more details.
