Hopafoot

Túrin’s childhood friend

A servant in the service of Túrin's father Húrin. His true name was Sador, but he had lost his right foot in an accident, and so the young Túrin gave him the nickname Labadal, which translates as 'Hopafoot'. After the loss of his sister Lalaith, it was to Labadal Hopafoot that Túrin turned for comfort, and from whom he first learned of the sundered fates of Men and Elves.
