The lands around Edoras, the chief city of Rohan, that fell under the direct control of the King of the Mark. The King's Lands included not only Edoras itself, but also the valley of Harrowdale running southward into the White Mountains and the wide grassland known as the Folde to the southeast of the city.
The King's Lands formed the chief of the three military divisions of Rohan, distinct from the larger but less densely populated West-mark and East-mark. Its Riders fell under the command of the First Marshal of the Riddermark, or of the King himself, and in times of war the Muster of Edoras would gather from this region (and also nearby parts of the West- and East-marks).
