The Bridge Inn at the Brandywine Bridge (slightly conjectural)1
An inn built on the western banks of the river Brandywine, where the East Road passed out of the Shire's Eastfarthing and across the Brandywine Bridge into the lands beyond. Its location would have put it near the point where the road north from Stock met the main East-West Road, so it was able to serve travellers from west, east and south. The inn was demolished during the War of the Ring; it was replaced by a guardhouse at the same time that gates were put in place on the Brandywine Bridge itself. Notes
