|
A rare term essentially equivalent to 'Elvish', as a reference to any of the languages of the Elves. It applies equally to the High-elven Quenya tongue (of which it is said that Frodo Baggins knew a little) and to the Sindarin language that was most widely used in Middle-earth, as well as to other less common dialects of Elvish.
