HarvestmathThe ninth month of the calendar of BreeMonths of the year The name used in Bree for the month known to the Shire-hobbits as 'Halimath'. This was the ninth month of the year, corresponding roughly to modern September (or to Yavannië in the Stewards' Reckoning of Gondor). The name actually comes from Old English (representing the local language of the Bree-landers) and translates as 'harvest-month', this being the time of year when the harvest was taken in and celebrated.
