Lord of the RingwraithsA title of the chief of the NazgûlOne of the many and varied titles applied to the most powerful and dangerous of the slaves of the Nine Rings, the chief servant of Sauron. He was a potent Sorcerer, but his name and the history of his early life are unknown. Bound by a Ring of Power granted by Sauron, he fought for the Dark Lord over a period stretching across more than four thousand years. For much of the early Third Age, he was the Witch-king of Angmar, and it was he who oversaw the destruction of the last remnant of the North-kingdom of the Dúnedain.
