A name among the Wild Men of the Drúadan Forest for the people of Gondor who lived to their east and south. They also used the term 'Stonehouse-folk' for the same people, and indeed both these terms are linguistically connected with the name Gondor, which means 'stone land'. The names recognise the preferences of the Men of Gondor to build in stone (as compared to the Drúedain, who did not) but also recalls the mighty constructions of stone built by the Exiles of Númenor when they first settled the lands of the South-kingdom.
