AraglasThe sixth Chieftain of the DúnedainThe sixth Chieftain of the Dúnedain, the son of Aragorn I. Aragorn had been Chieftain for just eight years when he was slain by wolves, and Araglas became Chieftain in his stead. He led the Dúnedain in the closing years of the time known as the Watchful Peace: Sauron remained hidden in the East, and the western lands remained relatively free from evil. Having come early to the Chieftainship, Araglas held the title for 128 years: longer than any other except Aranarth, the first of the Chieftains. He was succeeded by his son, who became known as Arahad I. Notes
