Mount Dolmed

The central peak of the Blue Mountains

Map of Mount Dolmed

One of the greatest mountains of Ered Luin on the eastern borders of Beleriand, lying at the mid-point of the range near the Dwarf-cities of Nogrod and Belegost.

Notes

1

While most of Beleriand was inundated in the War of Wrath that brought the First Age to a close, the Blue Mountains survived, though radically transformed. It may be, therefore, that Dolmed also survived in some form, though there is no evidence of its presence on later maps.

2

'Wet head' is a literal translation of Dolmed's name, in reference to the rain that was said to fall frequently on the mountain's slopes.
