The descent of Hunthor from Halmir the Lord of Brethil. Note that this entire line of descent, from Halmir's second son Hundar, is given only in volume XI of The History of Middle-earth, and may not be entirely canonical. A Man of the House of Haleth, the kinsman of Brandir. He went with Túrin to the slaying of Glaurung, but was lost in the river as he climbed the Ravines of Teiglin. Notes
