Mede

The seventh month of the Bree-calendar

Months of the year

One of the summer months of the calendar of Bree, Mede was the equivalent of the month known as 'Afterlithe' in the Shire Calendar, and as the seventh month was comparable with July on a modern calendar. It followed the midsummer festival of the Summerdays, and was followed in turn by the eighth month, Wedmath.
