MenelyaThe Day of the HeavensDays of the week The fifth of the six days of the Elves' week, with a name taken from the Quenya for 'Day of the Heavens'. In Sindarin, the same day was known as Ormenel, and when it found its way into the calendar of the Shire-hobbits, this 'Heavens' Day' took its name from a translation into the Common Tongue: Hevenesdei.
