Marmadoc Brandyuck, the Master of Buckland, had four children: two sons and two daughters. His eldest son Gorbadoc became Master of Buckland in his turn, but Gorbadoc's young brother Orgulas also gave rise to a family line. His great-grandchildren Merimas, Mentha and Melilot were present at Bilbo's farewell feast long after Orgulas' time.

Orgulas' name follows the phonetic structure common among the Brandybucks, but if the name has an intended meaning or a historical derivation, that source remains obscure.
