Flowing eastward into
Anduin, roughly halfway between the
Carrock to the north and
Lórien to the south
The banks of the river were variously occupied by
Hobbits and
MenTwo streams flowing east from the
Misty Mountains north of
Khazad-dûmsee'rr ni'nglorr (the final 'r' sounds should be pronounced - 'rr' is used here to emphasise this)
Sîr means 'river';
1 ninglor means 'golden water', from the golden
gladden lilies found on the river
