Wild WoodThe fabulous forest of eastern Middle-earthA mysterious and possibly mythical wood associated with the origins of the Elves. If the Wild Wood existed at all, it would seem to have grown on the eastern shores of Cuiviénen, the Water of Awakening, where the first Elves were brought into existence. Our information about this forest, however, is limited to a single indirect mention, and so it is conceivable that the Wild Wood was merely a fanciful addition to the Elves' stories of their origins.
