Primrose GamgeeOne of Sam Gamgee’s many childrenNinth of the thirteen children of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton. Like her elder sisters Elanor, Rose and Daisy, Primrose was given a flower-name, as was common in the Shire. She was born in the year 1435 by the Shire-reckoning, otherwise known as the fourteenth year of the Fourth Age. We have no specific detail about Primrose's life, but we do know that when she was seven years old her mother, father and sister Elanor all travelled to Gondor for a year (though we do not know whether young Primrose accompanied them, or remained behind in the Shire).
