Map of Ever-snow-white (Taniquetil) in Aman (somewhat conjectural)

A translation of the Quenya name Oiolossë (or the Sindarin equivalent, Uilos) that described the snowclad peak of the tallest of the mountains of the world, amid the Pelóri of Aman. 'Ever-snow-white' is a literal translation, and the mountain's Elvish names were also poetically rendered as 'Mount Everwhite'. More usually called Taniquetil, the high white peak of this mountain was home to Ilmarin, the halls of Manwë and Varda, from which they looked out upon the world below.
